- First of all, there have been 2,000 changes, this aircraft will have 4200 new features that the Sikorsky a/c never had and will be 1.5 times the size. The navy has made these irresponsible changes and have pinned Lockheed,AW, and Bell as the scapegoats because they can't argue at this time( Lockheed is still in the hunt for the CSAR-X bid). I have seen the AW101 and the S-70 in person. The President is getting a dependable replacement. Foreign or Domestically made(the aicraft is coming from the Yeovil, England plant, not Cascina Costa plant), no aircraft could withstand that many changes and be on schedule or under budget.
This xenophobic writer needs a clue about the RFP, Award, and program before writing an article like this.
