- EDITOR'S UPDATE: OSP confirms that 19-year-old Hallie Thompson of Beaver was a passenger in the Saturn injured in the crash. They report she was transported to Legacy Emanuel Hospital with serious injuries. Bend Weekly regrets the omission.

- My daughter, Hallie Thompson, 19, was a passenger in Ms. Bryson's vehicle. She was initially taken to the hospital in Tillamook to be stabilized, and then was transported by ambulance to the Trauma Center at Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland with serious lower leg injuries. She and Beth (the driver) were on their way to Beth's high school dance. Hallie has undergone 1 surgery, and is slated for several more. We pray that she will be able to gain the strength back in both ankles and will walk, run, and enjoy all of the activities that she had been involved with. It will take a lot of time and hard work on her part. Beth was her close friend and neighbor, and our family mourns the loss of a beautiful, vibrant, confident young Christian woman who now resides with the Lord she loves. She will always remain in our hearts and memories.
