- All of this misguided nonsense about building fences and adding to the ranks of the already 12,000 overly paid Border Patrol agents is meaningless as a means of securing our borders and addressing Illegal Immigration, which by the way is not the problem but rather the net result of the problem which is: Countries that are not welling nor encouraged to do right by that of their own people. All this hype about fence building, raids and the placement of more border guards at every ten feet along our borders is nothing short of a person that is drowning, to breath deeper. Sadly it appears that the Author of this commentary has been sucked into this misguided and wanton belief that force can cure this problem, when in fact that belief and actions which follow only fuels the real fire.
