- Finally, someone is telling the truth about the so-called 'darlings' of the airline. You're right....Jetblue isn't adding legroom for you. They're running out of ways to make money and control costs. First, they had to cut their growth rate. Now they're cutting back on staff. With no more opportunities to bottom-feed at the more obscure airports, LCC's like Southwest and Jetblue are forced to enter large airports they once tried to avoid, like Philadelphia, Denver and O'Hare. The gap is closing between them and the 'Legacy carriers'. When they start losing the game, you'll start to see many more employees like the male flight attendant you could've done without. Alas, the playing field is being leveled.
