I worked for Barbara Roberts and John Kitzhaber in Salem. I used to be a Democratic donor in good standing and have had most of the Big name Democrats into my home in Bend for fundraisers. I have been very close to the Oregon Democrats and let me tell you they are not far from your description of Ms. Coulter. I would add that despite their social agenda, anti-war, andi Bush positions the leading Democrats in this state are very calculating arrogant self centered people, so much that they actually believe they are better than YOU ! While they boast a broad speech, side with anyone or anything they perceive as downtrodden the wouldn't associate with the likes of you, unless your check book is in hand. They have been responsible for destroying our schools with unionized public labor (all for the vote), they are building ethenol plants (2 of them) here in Oregon which while emotionally and politically correct has the result in increasing our food costs, but remember fuel pays the state more money than food in taxes. And in my opinion worst of all have neutralized culture and dignity in our society by playing to least common denominator...ie; the worde"under God" taken from the pledge in Portland. You sound like a smart guy, step down from the bully pulpit, look deeper, get involved but not seduced, and remember that the tolerance one asks for must go boith directions. I will vote this year for the only true Democrat running for President, John McCain.
