Buying and living in ANY foreign country comes with its difficulties but your reporters very "American" view of how things should be don't conform to the real WORLD. A very large and at different stages of development world. People come to mexico because it can be a very inexpensive second home on a glorious beachfront property. But if you want to put a wall and guards around that then you could be anywhere in the USA.
