I don't mind task forces like this, but what I hate is having a man standing in a combat stance at the side of the parkway pointing a gun at me with two hands. Granted, it was a radar gun, but it's a disturbing distraction to have a gun pointed at you, forcing you to concentrate on it to determine that it's a radar gun and not a weapon.

I think it was great, I use the Parkway everyday and I looked for the MAT Team. Everytime I drove the Parkway that day they had someone pulled over. One of my concerns is our publicly owned vehicles (school buses) I had three school buses pass me at about 65 mph+ on the Parkway at Empire, and the third bus passed the frist two. I am happy I don't children on the School bus.

This task force would have been far more effective if they had extended it through the weekend. Most of the bad accidents usually occur when insurgent tourists invade Bend roads. I use the Parkway daily for my weekly commute and most drivers cruise between 55-65. But when the weekend rolls around, the average speed usually jumps to 75++.
