- To be able to write a thousand word essay on litttle more than hype and exaggerations is legendary among the media, and the stuff of fiction. Perhaps the editors demand it.
The Middle Age Warming period (centered around 1100AD) which was warmer than it is now, was quite pleasant and liveable, as the colonies in Greenland could attest. Likewise over the past 1 million years there have been 600 warming periods (followed by about 599 cooling periods---Singer and Avery's new book). Over that time peaks in the Temp data PRECEDE peaks in the CO2 data by a few centuries, which begs the question, "Is there any relationship between T and CO2 levels". If there is one it is very weak and unimportant.
