- Libby works for the Bush organized crime family. He shuts up, does his time, gets out and is taken care of. He's a "made man". As stated, several members of "The Family" were pardoned by Bush 'The Elder' and came back to work in the current (failure of an) administration. A Bush pardon for Libby opens up Bush to conspiracy charges. Relax Scooter, read some, write some, work-out and they'll take care of you and your family when you get out. They take care of their own.

- I believe Scooter Liby is the fall guy for Dick Chenney. He may have deliberately chosen to shield the top brass in exchange for something. After all 30 months in the slammer will turn into 20 for good behavior and then to 10 for political reasons. When he gets out he'll collect for his sacrifice.
