I have a laptop machine and I want to change an entire motherboard. Does anyone know if it is possible. If yes then from where I can get an updated motherboard for dell inspiron. I want one that can hold at least 1 GB of RAM.

| Well to be honest its possible, but purchasing a new laptop would be a more cost effective way to go. Seriously. Laptops are not interchangeable friendly since its coming from a company who puts their own little twist on the computers and such. |

I'm sure it is possbile but it is not recommended to do it yourself because of complex mechanism of the machine, probably go to their customer support and ask them to do it & it will be fine.

| I also think it is possible but it will almost cost you the price of new laptop machine so better keep this one to use in crisis and buy a new one with your desired configuration. |
