It reads like a novel, which is hardly surprising considering the author, but if I had to teach physics at any pre-college level, this would be the book.
Wonderfully illuminating stories about why things are what they are, and how we came to find it out. All fact of course.
It really puts every other physics book of this sort to shame, including EVERY school textbook I've ever seen.

I recently went on a road trip with a bunch of guys who blew me away with their intelligence around physics, and this book you speak of (or perhaps it was another by the same author-the one I'm referring to apparently has three books to the series) came up in conversation and evoked this astounding discussion about life and time and things that I thought I was familiar with but found a bit embarassed to be completely lost in the conversation. That being said, is this book esoteric or do you guess that these guys I were with just happened to be on a certain wavelength that was a bit above what my frame of physics knowledge allows? What they were discussing did indeed sound fascinating and after reading your review too, Im considering ordering the book, but honestly, is it really really hard to follow if you aren't a science geek? _________________ LOVESONG
