I know there's been a real battle vs ATI and Nvidia. To be straight to the point, ATI comes out with their products sooner, but they don't produce as many products compared to Nvidia. Also Nvidia also locks their memory core speeds and gpu speeds to an overclocked setting right out of the box. That's why most of the time Nvidia always wins against ATI's similar product.
