Do you guys prefer CD-RW or CD-R discs

CD-R has fast writing speed but obviously you can use it only once.
CD-RW has slow writing speed but it can be used again n again.

I prefer CD-RW (I prefer to save my money :p )

For me, I prefer CD-R only in the fact that, I have a lot of data that won't change such as documents and such. I like to backup my hard drive frequently, but I use more cds than the average user. For me, spending $30 on a pack of 100 cd-rs is worth it compared to 50 Cd rws. Just my 2 cents worth.

I use CD-R disks to backup my data. The speed is blazing fast while writing on CD-Rs as compared to the speed of CD-RW disk. There is not much price difference between both of these either.

Since I don't backup my data on CDs and only use CDs to share music and other things with friends, Therefore I prefer CD-RW, I can use that disc as many time without spending a single penny.

I dont prefer either of these. I have 512 MB & 256 MB USB flash drives which I use to carry data and an extra 80 GB hard disk to backup my data. I dont really need CD-R or CD-RW in such case.

I have been using the technology since it came out and have never used a CD-RW over the course of those years. I don't have many instances where I'm overwriting data. It isn't like I'm going to bother overwriting the last 5-disc linux distro I downloaded with the newest version. CD-Rs are cheap and shreddable if you have a good shredder made to do so.

CD-Rs are much better as compared to CD-RW. The few of many reasons are fast writing & reading speed, compatibility with other ROM drives. They are cheap too.

I've used both but one of the main reasons i like CD-RW is because i can make a 150 track mp3 cd and change it or add different songs anytime!

I use CD-Rs most of the times, I would love to use CD-RW if these discs have option to delete a certain file instead of cleaning up the whole disc.
