" By Ryan Cambridge & Jeff Mullins"
"One man is dead and under is under arrest for his murder. Madras Police say 20-year-old Jesus Esquivel-Gonazalez was shot multiple times by a .22 caliber weapon".
"He died in the parking lot at Sonny's Apartments on Brush Lane last night. 41-year-old Senen Ortiz-Huerta, Sr. is held without bail at the Jefferson County Jail. District Attorney Peter Deuell says Ortiz-Huerta will be arraigned Monday on murder and related charges. The suspect was captured in Klamath Falls. Investigators are not yet saying what they think led to the shooting".

Why the lack of information on this story?

It appears they have a body and the suspect. District Attorney Peter Deuell declined to say, or the reporter neglected to ask if the victim or suspect were illegal aliens? Why the lack of reporting or details here? Does the DA know? Has he done his job? If so, what is the suspects legal status? The victims?

Would this not be news worthy? If not, why not? Does the DA care? Do the tax payers care? If they were in the country illegally, would this not have a direct negative impact on the tax payers?

In a homicide investigation, once the victim and suspect are located, and ID'd they would know very quickly if the parties involved had records, their legal status, etc. They seem to know the ages and names of the victim and suspect.

Were they illegal aliens? Were they in the country legally? Did the reporter ask? Did the DA decline to say? Was it omitted from the story? Has their been an update on the story?

If the players were here illegally, how many hundreds of thousands of dollars is this investigation and prosecution going to cost the tax payers? Is there someone providing a legal defense for the suspect?

They reported their names and ages. Why no other details? Are they local citizens? Out of towners? Neighbors? Long time residence?

Did anyone ask?

Does anyone care?

If there been an update to this story, I can't seem to locate it. If you have an update, could you please post it.

I apologize if I missed any updates to this story.

Thank you
