If you want to start your say tomatoes, peppers, etc by seed, you could now. Then transplant later.
Usually the nursery stores begin selling plants around Easter time. Early to mid April.
If you plant say corn and beans in the garden, then you must make sure the ground has stayed around 45-50 at nite or seeds will not germinate. |

I am going to try to plant more veggies this year. A question though- for a crop to really turn out good, is is necessary to use some sort of fertilizer? I didn't use any last year and the carrots turned out very poorly. The stems were bigger than the carrots! I want to do squash and some cucumbers, maybe other stuff. Still have wild garlic growing and think the green oinions will be there to. _________________ Rickless

I know that some people have had success growing tomatoes upside-down but have never done so myself.
I think it is like hydroponics, seems to be a lot of work for the gain that you get from it. |
