La Pine Middle School was not placed in a lock-down Thursday morning after a teacher found a written bomb threat, but students were moved to different portions of the school grounds to accommodate a thorough search by law enforcement personnel who turned up no sign of destructive devices or explosives. Fifteen children on board a Bend-La Pine school bus hit by an SUV Wednesday afternoon were unharmed, but the bus driver may have suffered an injury to her hand, deputies reported. A 41-year old woman was taken into custody early Wednesday morning after police located her when she fled the scene of a stabbing at a northeast Bend motel. A 20-year-old Bend man died from injuries he sustained in a crash Thursday afternoon in northwest Washington when his car hit a tree on Mt. Baker Highway, police reported. Kyle J.
