Deputies on Friday released the names of two drivers involved in a Thursday night crash between a pickup and a semi-truck pulling a 48-foot trailer; one whom was cited with careless driving, and the other flown to the hospital by helicopter and arrested for alleged drunk driving. A male body, appearing to have been in the water for “some time”, was discovered floating face down in a canal in northeast Bend, Oregon on Friday, deputies reported. Police are looking for a man who held up the Burger King restaurant in north Bend at gunpoint on Tuesday night then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. According to a news release prepared by Bend Police Sgt. Bend Police are investigation a reported near-drowning at the Juniper Swim & Fitness Center on Tuesday afternoon when a boy about three-years-old was pulled unresponsive from the swimming pool, officials said. A 50-year old La Pine man whose family reported him missing Friday night after he failed to return home from swimming at the Wickiup Dam was found safe and sound by Search and Rescue team members the following day. Two Bend motorcyclists were cited by Oregon State Police troopers Thursday morning for high-speed violations near a highway construction zone on Highway 126 near Prineville, Oregon.  One of the riders was traveling in excess of 120-mph.
