Ten law enforcement officers from four different agencies concentrated their efforts on the Bend Parkway for five hours on Wednesday and wrote over 71 tickets, arrested two people, and impounded four vehicles. Bend Police Sgt. One man armed with a knife robbed the lone clerk of a northeast Bend motel Thursday night while another suspect acted as a lookout, then both fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, police said. Acting on a tip, Deschutes County Sheriff’s detectives found the ATM machine stolen from the Thriftway Market in Terrebonne early Monday morning.  The machine, located on public land in Jefferson County about ten miles from the market, was burned and all the cash had been removed.  The burglary suspect captured on surveillance footage remains at large.  According to a news release issued by Lt. A 45-year old Bend man -- with a blood alcohol content allegedly more than three times the legal limit -- sped off during a traffic stop by a Marion County Sheriff’s deputy in a 21-foot motorhome and led police on an 11-mile pursuit before stopping when half the RV’s tires were punctured with spike strips.
