Oregon State University (OSU) recently announced the names of students who made the Scholastic Honor Roll for fall term.  A total of 554 students earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average (gpa), including twelve from Bend, two from Redmond, and one from Terrebonne. Redmond, Ore - The Redmond School District’s Homeless Education Program was chosen as a recipient of the Feed the Children SchoolKidz USA program.  The district was selected in part due to the strong partnership between their homeless education program and the Family Access Network (FAN). Public health officials in the Oregon Department of Human Services are encouraging parents to be sure their children's shots are up to date so they won't be sent home from school. State Schools Superintendent Susan Castillo announced Tuesday that Oregon saw a 16.2% increase in the number of students participating in Advanced Placement classes over the previous year.
