PRINEVILLE, Ore. - Motorized vehicle use will be prohibited in parts of the McKay Creek watershed on the Lookout Mountain Ranger District of the Ochoco National Forest from December 1, 2007, to May 31, 2008. Outdoor burning within the City of Bend will close November 22nd, Thursday evening at dark.  Gary Marshall, city of Bend fire marshal said outdoor debris burning restrictions were lifted for 20 days within November to allow City residents to burn small piles of yard debris.    Due to hazardous weather conditions, debris burning was cancelled for two days.     Outdoor burning will continue to be open outside the City of Bend within the Deschutes County Fire District ... In August, the City of Bend Community Development Department began enforcing the placement of unauthorized signs within public street right of ways. The City has noticed that compliance with the sign code has increased over the past few weeks. SUMMER LAKE, Ore. – West Nile Virus has been detected in a pelican taken from Summer Lake Wildlife Area, marking the first 2007 detection of the disease in Lake County.   The American White Pelican was found dead at Summer Lake on Aug. 20.
