CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State University College of Agricultural Sciences is hosting its 25th annual art competition, "Art About Agriculture Tour 2007: By Land and By Sea."
The annual OSU College competition seeks art submissions that focus on the close connection of land and water in Pacific Northwest agriculture and fisheries, explained Shelley Curtis, curator of OSU's annual Art about Agriculture Tour.

Jared Vanderhoff is the new Senior District Executive for the Crater Lake Council's Fremont District, Boy Scouts of America, which serves central Oregon. He comes to the district from the Oregon Trail Council, having held posts in Corvallis, Newport and Springfield.
Vanderhoff will work with Scouts and adult volunteers in Deschutes, Jefferson and Crook counties. His work involves building membership at both youth and adult levels, fundraising, program development and leadership training.

Local law enforcement will trade in their handcuffs and badges for serving aprons at Red Robin as part of the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run Campaign. During the fundraiser, law enforcement representatives will collect tips from restaurant guests, which will be used to benefit Special Olympics Oregon.

Deschutes National Forest motorists will not be able to cross Odell Creek on Forest Road 4660 between Odell and Davis Lakes while a bridge is constructed across Odell Creek.
The Crescent Ranger District gravel road leaves the Cascade Lakes Highway and winds around the west side of Davis Lake. The road remains open on both ends from the highway to the construction site.
