The Central Oregon Multi Agency Traffic Team (MAT) will be out in force tomorrow patrolling highways in the Sisters area, police announced. According to Bend Police Sgt. A 19-year-old Redmond man turned himself into police this morning, admitting he was the driver of a car involved in a police pursuit after he failed to stop for a traffic violation in the early morning hours on Monday.  The vehicle was abandoned when the driver and a passenger fled on foot. Deputies are asking the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly grabbed a 16-year-old La Pine girl and tried to force her into his car after she declined a ride Monday afternoon. A Prineville man was charged with 20 crimes following an investigation into the killing of four deer for the sole purpose of removing their heads for their antlers.
