On December 29th, residents of La Pine can benefit from NeighborImpact’s mobile outreach program -- in the form of an ‘Answer Van’. The Van will travel from Bend to the VFW La Pine Community Kitchen and then station there from 12-noon to 4 p.m.

A Redmond man was seriously injured early Saturday morning when he was ejected from his pickup as it rolled after crossing into the oncoming lane of traffic on Highway 97 south of Redmond, said authorities.

The two men and one woman who were killed late Friday night in a fiery single vehicle crash in southwest Redmond have been tentatively identified, authorities announced today.

Oregon State Police have issued an emergency report announcing that a fatal traffic crash has closed Highway 97 near milepost 231, about 15 miles south of the Diamond Lake Junction (approximately 65 miles south of Bend).
The accident which occurred about 2 p.m. Friday, involved multiple vehicles with two fatalities confirmed. Others are reportedly in serious condition.
