A Washington County sheriff's deputy stopped a 14-year-old boy driving his parents' car for traffic violations and shot him after he confronted the officer with an SKS assault rifle and "made statements that he wanted the police to kill him," said authorities. A Salem husband and wife were arrested early Thursday morning following the execution of a search warrant at their southeast Salem home where police allegedly found drugs, false documents including social security cards and immigration documents, and $14,000 in cash. A Vancouver, Washington man died Friday night from injuries sustained in a fall after he stopped to help at the scene of an injury crash involving an intoxicated driver on I-84 east of Warrendale. Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue firefighters credit residential sprinklers for saving a building housing six condominiums on New Years Day. A 74-year old Bend woman was cited for careless driving following an investigation into Thursday's three-vehicle non-injury crash on Highway 97 north of Klamath Falls.
