PORTLAND, Ore. - U.S. daytime soap opera star Shell Kepler has reportedly died of renal failure in Portland, Oregon. She was 49.Kepler played nurse Amy Vining on "General Hospital" for more than 20 years. SALEM, Ore. — If you're waiting for a kicker check that never came, it may have been returned to the Oregon Department of Revenue because it couldn't find you. The U.S. Postal Service returned 25,000 undeliverable kicker checks to the department. So far, only 12,000 have been claimed by their rightful owners. According to preliminary statistics, 505 inspections resulted in 54 vehicles and 85 drivers placed out-of-service for equipment and driver-related safety violations during last week's three-day interagency commercial vehicle inspection at the Interstate 5 southbound Woodburn Port of Entry.
