SOUTH MIAMI, Fla. -- A teenager has been charged with manslaughter in the death of his father, South Florida City Commissioner Jay Beckman, Miami-Dade homicide detectives said. The 17-year-old suspect told police he was showing his father a shotgun Sunday when it slipped and accidentally fired, The Miami Herald reported Monday. CHICAGO -- A Chicago police detective released on $500,000 bail is charged with driving drunk in a fatal crash that killed two men, say Cook County prosecutors. FORT LEWIS, Wash. -- A Fort Lewis, Wash., woman fatally shot her husband as he was teaching her how to use a gun, Thurston County sheriff's officials say. Eric J. NEW ORLEANS -- A 24-year-old man has been charged with the execution-style killing of a woman and two children in a New Orleans suburb, Jefferson Parish authorities said.
