NEW YORK -- Shawn Kovell says she still loves Robert Chambers some two years after he was sent to prison in New York's "Preppie Killer" case. CHICAGO -- Teen pregnancies and funding changes in Washington are prompting Illinois educators to examine how they teach sex education, officials say. MIAMI -- Florida wildlife authorities say they are trying to find a solution to a growing population of bears, which are creating a nuisance. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission received 2,969 complaints about bears last year, compared to just 450 in 1998, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported Wednesday. WASHINGTON -- Plans are being developed to send former U.S. law enforcement officers to Mexico to train Mexican police in their battle against drug cartels, officials said. NEW ORLEANS, April 20 (UPI) -- Police in New Orleans searched for two missing college students after charging a man with kidnapping them, investigators said Monday. Kenneth J. Barnes, 22, was charged with aggravated kidnapping and home invasion after the disappearance Sunday of Fitzgerald Phillips and Calyisse Perkins, both 19, The New Orleans Times-Picayune reported.
