Three California men were killed in a fatal head-on traffic crash that occurred Friday morning on Highway 97 about 17 miles south of Bend, and fatigue may have been a contributing factor, said authorities. Rock-throwing vandals plaguing the Bend area over the last two weeks have struck again, this time in southwest Bend and the Old Mill District, causing an estimated $15,000 in damages, said authorities. The vandalism occurred from about 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Saturday, September 29 and 30 and targeted numerous vehicles, office windows, and glass doors of businesses. Lt.
