In a joint press release issued by Chapter 92 of the Oregon School Employees Association (OSEA) and Sisters School District 6, it was announced Wednesday, November 8, that a new collective bargaining agreement has been tentatively agreed to. The Deschutes County Road Department has announced the gates on the Cascade Lakes Highway (Road 46) were closed Thursday, November 9th.  The road closures are in effect at the Deschutes Bridge gate and at the gate near the entrance to Mt. An employee who originally claimed to be a victim of an armed robbery at Subway South in Bend was eventually arrested along with two co-conspirators in connection with the crime, said police. Two students of Obsidian Middle School in Redmond were arrested and cited into Deschutes County Juvenile Division when they admitted to writing bomb threats in the school bathrooms, said police.  The two incidents occurred within a ten day period. Four motorcycle riders from Bend who were reported missing November 5 spent a dark, cold night on the trail near China Hat Road and Camp II after one of their group ran out of gas, but all were found in good health the next morning. The Franklin Bridge Underpass will be reduced to one lane of traffic on Sunday, November 12 between 6 a.m. and noon to allow maintenance work to be performed on the stormwater system.  The affected area is between Third and Harriman Streets on NW Franklin Avenue.
