Central Oregon Community College (COCC) is offering two information sessions about its new composites manufacturing program. The sessions will be offered at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 12, in Room 306 of the Manufacturing and Training Center on the Redmond Campus; and at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14, in Room 206 of Ponderosa Hall on the Bend Campus. The City of Bend officially established a business license ordinance on January 18, 2006. As of February 17, 2006 all businesses operating in the City of Bend were required to possess a business license. Businesses should be registered for the license by the end of 2006. Three lanes of Highway 97 were blocked for about two hours Thursday evening after two semi-trucks crashed when one driver missed a turn-off into a rest stop and attempted to make a u-turn on the highway, said authorities.
