A 40-year old Hillsboro man was arrested Saturday when he drove twenty miles with two children in the trunk of his car, deputies reported. To avoid having to take two vehicles on an Oregon coast outing, Douglas Willy decided to place two children in the trunk while he, his fiancé, and two other children rode inside the car.

A 20-year old Nampa, Idaho man died Saturday at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend, Oregon where he was being treated for injuries sustained March 25 after crashing a stolen police vehicle, Oregon State Police (OSP) reported.

ATLANTA - Three people were shot this weekend after an attempted robbery of a jewelry store in an Atlanta mall erupted in gunfire.The three were not identified, but one was described as a security guard.The Atlanta Journal-Constitution said at least four men attempted to rob Glitz Jewelers in the Greenbriar Mall Saturday. Two Redmond residents were killed Saturday afternoon when their all-terrain-vehicle (ATV) failed to round a curve and went head-first over an embankment into an empty canal on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) property east of Redmond, deputies reported.
Debbie Schubert, 45, and Donnie Moody, 31, were pronounced dead at the scene by Redmond Fire and Rescue paramedics, Deschutes County Sheriff’s Sgt. Joe Deluca and BLM Law Enforcement Ranger Crisafi wrote in a news release.
