PORTLAND - KTRO-FM 93.1 in Portland launched Spanish programming today, according to an announcement by Dennis Hayes, general manager of the Portland station. At a special meeting held Tuesday afternoon, the Bend City Council narrowed down the list of candidates to six to be interviewed on Friday, March 30 and Monday, April 2. Blindfolded Westerners paraded by Iranian Revolutionary Guards are hardly new. In 1979, the guards paraded for the cameras 52 blindfolded Americans seized at the U.S. Embassy in Tehran and held hostage for 444 days. Three drivers were arrested or cited on criminal mischief and other charges after mudding" through Spencer Creek and damaging meadows along Oregon's only spawning tributary to the Klamath River.
