EUGENE, Ore. -- A 41-year old woman died Tuesday evening when she lost control of her motorcycle on Franklin Boulevard at Brooklyn Street in the Glenwood area of Eugene, Oregon, police reported.
Margaret Ann Chrisman, 41, of Eugene was riding westbound on Franklin Boulevard approaching the Brooklyn Street intersection about 7:15 p.m., March 4, when the accident occurred.

SALEM, Ore. -- Murder suspect Jose Rosendo Carrillo-Padilla, wanted for a 2001 murder, was recently spotted in the Salem area. Carrillo-Padilla has been on the Salem Police Department "most wanted" list since 2001 and is sought in connection with the shooting death of Miguel Ochoa-Ochoa in September of 2001.

SALEM, Ore. — If you're waiting for a kicker check that never came, it may have been returned to the Oregon Department of Revenue because it couldn't find you. BEND, Ore. -- The long-awaited opening of the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Work Center began Monday with the transfer of inmates to the newly remodeled facility, closed in 2003 due to a shortage of funds.
Voters approved permanent funding for the Sheriff’s Office in 2006 to allow the center, which will add 90 jail beds and many expanded inmate programs such as drug and alcohol treatment, to be reopened.
