The Feature Film, 'Let's Do It,' Inspired by Original Student Movie Made 80 Years Ago
EUGENE, Ore. -- Student films seem to be as old as the movies. Well, not quite. There was, in fact, the first full-length student movie, filmed on the University of Oregon campus 80 years ago. ALOHA, Ore. – A 10-year-old boy was attacked Wednesday and bitten several times on both of his legs by a pit bull that has a documented history of other attacks, deputies reported.
According to Washington County Sheriff’s deputies, the child was riding a two-wheeled “razor” on the sidewalk in front of the Beaverton International School and the dog, whose owner lives across the street, ran at him and attacked. WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Mint says it is accepting orders for its 2009 Louis Braille Bicentennial Silver Dollar, the Mint's first coin with readable Braille.
The Mint said in a release it is accepting orders for the new coin, which was created to honor the 200th birthday of Louis Braille, who created the tactile writing system readable by the blind, CNN said.
