A traffic stop in southwest Redmond Sunday morning led to a car chase, a collision with a police vehicle, a suspect fleeing on foot, and ultimately the arrest of a man accused of over a dozen different crimes, Deschutes County Sheriff’s deputies reported.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Police in North Carolina Sunday were questioning a suspect in the shooting deaths of two Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police officers.

A 40-year old Hillsboro man was arrested Saturday when he drove twenty miles with two children in the trunk of his car, deputies reported. To avoid having to take two vehicles on an Oregon coast outing, Douglas Willy decided to place two children in the trunk while he, his fiancé, and two other children rode inside the car.
