NEW YORK -- Shawn Kovell says she still loves Robert Chambers some two years after he was sent to prison in New York's "Preppie Killer" case. CHICAGO -- Teen pregnancies and funding changes in Washington are prompting Illinois educators to examine how they teach sex education, officials say. MIAMI -- Florida wildlife authorities say they are trying to find a solution to a growing population of bears, which are creating a nuisance. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission received 2,969 complaints about bears last year, compared to just 450 in 1998, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported Wednesday. ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The pilot of a small plane ended up in Tampa Bay while trying to land his two-seater at an airport in St. Petersburg, Fla., authorities say. WASHINGTON -- Plans are being developed to send former U.S. law enforcement officers to Mexico to train Mexican police in their battle against drug cartels, officials said. OTTAWA -- Evidence is emerging the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.'s current financial shortfall was fueled by some lavish spending by executives three years ago.
