MOLALLA, Ore. -- An Oregon middle-school student has challenged her principal's no-hugging rule.The Molalla River Middle School adopted the policy last year, the Molalla Pioneer reported. PORTLAND, Ore. -- Researchers at the Oregon Health & Science University Cancer Institute have pinpointed the protein that can lead to genetic changes that cause lung cancer.The researchers discovered that the production of the protein FANCD2 is slowed when lung cells are exposed to cigarette smoke. Q: I am planning to give the vase seen in this photo to my granddaughter. It was a wedding gift to my parents in 1920, stands approximately 7 inches tall, and is in excellent condition. A few years ago, we employed a baby sitter who was obese, smoked and loved all the wrong foods. She routinely brought buns and cookies to our house to share with our children.
