OTTAWA -- Canadian Auditor General Sheila Fraser criticized the Canada Border Services Agency for losing track of 41,000 people ordered deported.In the auditor's lengthy report released in Ottawa, Fraser questioned why the agency didn't follow up on the people ordered deported, the Globe and Mail said."Due in part to a lack of exit controls, there is a growing number of individuals whose whereabouts are unknown and who might remain in Canada illegally," Fraser said.The agency ... BEIJING -- China blamed the March uprising for the decline in Tibet's first-quarter gross domestic product growth, which was still a robust 10.4 percent.Qiangba Puncog, chairman of Tibet's regional government, said Tibet's GDP in the first quarter of 2008 totaled about $1.1 billion, up 10.4 percent from last year's first quarter, Xinhua reported.Tibet reported growth of 17 percent in its GDP in the first quarter of 2007. DHAKA, Bangladesh -- Tarique Rahman, son of detained former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, has been accused in a $3.2 million bribe and murder case.Rahman, arrested a year ago, was charged by the military-backed interim government's powerful anti-corruption commission along with seven others, The Daily Star newspaper in Bangladesh reported.The charges stem from the 2006 killing of the director of the Bashundhara Business Group. NEW DELHI -- India, concerned about China's nuclear submarine base, Wednesday successfully tested its 1,864-mile range Agni-III missile.The solid fuel, surface-to-surface intermediate-range ballistic missile was fired from Wheelers Island in India's eastern Orissa state, the Press Trust of India reported.The report said the missile, which was being tested for the second time, reached a designated target in 800 seconds as planned, confirming India's entry into a select club of nations having such missile capability.The disclosure ...
