MOSCOW - Moscow plans to cooperate more with NATO, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Tuesday in Moscow. Lavrov said the cooperation will be aimed at monitoring reforms within NATO, RIA Novosti reported. MUNICH, Germany - Prosecutors in Germany want to try 13 U.S. intelligence agents who allegedly kidnapped a German citizen in 2003. LONDON - Roman Catholic bishops have told Britain's parliament considering human-animal hybrid embryos that they have the same rights as human embryos. BAGHDAD - The Iraqi culture minister has been accused of assassinating two sons of a parliament member. Officials have issued a warrant for the arrest of Asaad Al-Hashimi, sources told the Kuwait News Agency, KUNA. JERUSALEM - Former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Tuesday that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's decision to release Palestinian prisoners is a mistake. A Lincoln City man was taken to the hospital yesterday afternoon with unknown injuries following a single vehicle rollover accident on Highway 20 north of Tumalo, and his one-year-old puppy remains at large after fleeing the scene, deputies reported. BAGHDAD - No group claimed responsibility for an explosion at a prominent Baghdad hotel that killed several sheiks. The U.S. military said that four Sunni sheiks and two Shiite sheiks were among nine people killed in a suicide bombing Monday at the Monsour Hotel. KARACHI, Pakistan - Thousands of people in southern coastal Pakistan were evacuated Tuesday as Cyclone Yemyin made landfall with winds of 80 mph and torrential rain. YORK, England - Three people were killed and thousands forced from their homes by heavy flooding in England and Wales. The British Environment Agency blamed the flooding on "phenomenal" weather, the BBC reported. "We've had a sixth of the annual rainfall in 12 hours," agency flood expert Phil Rothwell told the BBC.
