A multi-state salmonellosis outbreak involving contaminated tomatoes has reached Oregon, resulting in three laboratory-confirmed cases of the illness. Tests to confirm two additional cases are pending. Two of the cases are in Umatilla and Union Counties. The third, a Washington County resident, was possibly exposed in California. OREGON CITY, Ore. – A suspicious fire in a girls’ restroom of an Oregon City middle school prompted evacuation of students and staff Monday morning and caused about $7,500 in damage, officials reported. BEND, Ore. – A 24-year old Bend man was shot and injured during an altercation at a southeast Bend apartment complex parking lot Saturday night, police reported.
