BEND•Deschutes National Forest visitors should avoid the popular Green Lakes Trail in the Three Sisters Wilderness Area July 24-28, while crews erect a new bridge over Fall Creek. Local authorities announced Tuesday that a dangerous sex offender who absconded from Deschutes County Parole & Probation supervision on July 4th is back in custody. The City of Bend City Council and the Tower Theatre Foundation have revised the Tower Theatre Agreement to include offering the use of the facility to other non-profit organizations. The agreement originally allowed for only City use in exchange for a $300,000 capital campaign commitment. Effective July 20th the City of Bend’s Ride the River shuttle willdiscontinue its extended hours for Munch’n Music.
