Oregon State Police troopers arrested a Corvallis man Friday for Criminally Negligent Homicide charges stemming from a March 2006 fatal motor vehicle crash on the Santiam Pass in which a Chinese national was killed. Campers in some areas of the Deschutes National Forest will be inconvenienced with the unavailability of drinking water in some facilities until late August, when completion of a water system replacement project is expected. Anglers and boaters should use caution on the Lower Deschutes River between Pelton Dam and the mouth of the river on Saturday, July 15th.
