BRIDGETOWN, Barbados -- A weekend festival in eastern Barbados turned deadly when a bus smashed into a wall and killed six people and injured 37 others. The Sunday afternoon crash happened at Joe's River, about 14 miles east of the capital, Bridgetown. Caribbean360.com reported. TRURO, England -- Tourists said they saw a great white shark off the England coast at Cornwall and the reports are hurting the area's tourist trade. Shark experts told Sky News that it's possible, but not likely, that the shark was a great white. Officials said the reports from tourists in recent weeks were never confirmed. TRONDHEIM, Norway -- An estimated 120 graves and a large hall are among the new evidence archaeologists recently discovered of Norway's Viking past. The finds near Trondheim, Norway, also include traces of houses and what could be part of the Viking chief's hall, Aftenposten reported Monday. JERUSALEM -- Two Israeli students allegedly issued a fake distress call to test rescue teams working in the parched Golan area, it was reported Monday. The students reportedly phoned a rescue unit Sunday to report they were dehydrated, confused and stranded during a hiking trip, reported Ynetnews.com. WARSAW, Poland -- Residents of the northeastern Polish town of Augustow are demanding the government restart construction of a highway that the European Union opposes. TEHRAN -- Iran isn't accepting a U.N. offer of a "timeout" to ease sanctions in exchange for halting nuclear activities, state media said on Monday. LONDON -- Britain's new equality law means homosexual couples have the same right to a hotel room as do married couples, it was reported Monday. BAGHDAD -- A new self-contained heavily fortified court community has been built in Baghdad to protect judges and lawyers from terror attacks. LONDON -- A shortage of judges in England and Wales is leading to overcrowded prisons and criminal trial delays, The Times of London reported Monday.
