NICOSIA, Cyprus - State radio in Cyprus is reporting a missing U.S. diplomat has been found dead in a remote area of the Mediterranean island. Cyprus Broadcasting Corp. says the body of Tom Mooney, a defense attache at the U.S. Embassy, was discovered four days after he disappeared, the BBC reported Monday. Bend Police are seeking a lone gunman who fled with an undisclosed amount of money after holding up a local convenience store in northeast Bend Sunday afternoon, Few details were released, and the case is currently under investigation.  Shortly after 2 p.m., officers responded to the U.S. Market at 2625 Butler Market Road in response to the report of an armed robbery, Sgt. GLASGOW, Scotland - The investigation into attempted car bombings in Glasgow and London centered on two doctors after the arrest of two more suspects in Scotland Monday. A total of seven suspects had been arrested in connection with the attempted car bombings last week at the Glasgow airport and a London nightclub, The Telegraph reported. BAGHDAD - The U.S. military on Monday announced that five military personnel had been killed in Iraq. One of the soldiers was shot following a bombing attack in western Baghdad that injured two Iraqi soldiers Sunday, the Kuwait News Agency, KUNA, reported. An Alfalfa man was cited for two counts of reckless burning when an unattended fire in a burn barrel escaped on Sunday, spread to his neighbor’s property, damaged 10-15 automobiles and burned down an 800 square foot shop, deputies reported. MALMO, Sweden - A man imprisoned in Bosnia has reportedly admitted to friends that he killed at least 10 people while he was living in Sweden a number of years ago.
