During the week, there were 15 reports of vehicle break-ins, with an estimated value of stolen items at $5,889.  Of the 15 reports, ten vehicles were unlocked.  There were a total of three bicycle thefts, two unlocked, with an estimated value of $1,700.  DUII arrests totaled six, and there were 25 warrant arrests made.  Seven vehicles were impounded when the drivers were found to have suspended licenses, or none at all. §         8/28. With a 4-2 vote, the Bend-La Pine School Board elected Janelle Wilcox to be their seventh member on Wednesday afternoon. With all the talk of the housing market cooling, many may be surprised at recent statistics from the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) that Bend had the greatest one-year increase in appreciation in the nation.
