Parents have been informed to be on the lookout for a man who exhibited suspicious behavior and approached two ten-year-old boys after they were dropped off by a school bus on Monday afternoon in the Terrebonne area, deputies reported. A black bear found under a tree in the yard of a southeast Bend home was tranquilized, transported away from the area, and released on Monday,   photos by CSO Canyon Davis   police reported. Bend police on Monday captured Chad Lee Edwards, an escaped inmate from the Warner Creek Correctional Facility, after he was found in Juniper Park near the swimming pool. According to the Oregon Department of Corrections, 18-year-old Edwards was serving 13 months for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a sentence running concurrently with a 14 month sentence for driving with a suspended/revoked license. Cougars have been sighted three times in the Dry Canyon area of Redmond over the last three weeks, authorities said, prompting safety reminders for residents who live in or near “cougar country”. An investigation into the death of a 44-year old Prineville woman is being conducted by the Prineville Police Department and Crook County District Attorney, authorities reported.
