High-tech tool for ROP in premature babies

What is ROP?
Retinopathy of prematurity is a potentially blinding eye disorder that primarily affects premature infants. Thousands of children worldwide lose vision permanently because of diseases and injuries of the retina.
What is RETCAM II?
It is a mobile, self-contained system consisting of a fiber-optic camera, computer with special software and color monitor. It is used to screen for disorders of the retina in children. |
