Women’s British Open came late to the foursome

| Played in August, the Women’s British Open is the only golf tournament classified as a “major” by both the Ladies European Tour and the Ladies Professional Golf Association. It was established by the Ladies Golf Union in 1976, when the Open’s participants came mostly from Great Britain and Europe. |
