A suspect in the shooting of a store clerk at a Redmond gas station and convenience mart was quickly apprehended without incident on Saturday afternoon, and has been charged with attempted murder, assault, and unlawful use of a weapon, police reported.
Ringgenberg was transported by ground ambulance to St. Charles Medical Center in Redmond for treatment of what the captain described as “serious injuries”. Officers arrested the suspect at the scene without incident. Brian Jack Leu, 28, of Redmond, was lodged in Deschutes County Jail in lieu of $355,000 bail, McNaughton said, and is charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault, and unlawful use of a weapon.
