Officers of the Prineville Police department will be verifying compliance with the registration requirements of all sex offenders known to reside within the city limits, Chief Eric Bush recently announced.

An annual event, the “Sex Offender Addressing Program” consists of neighborhood officers reviewing the files of the 36 State-registered sex offenders in their area, and then physically confirming that they are in compliance with State laws.

“If anyone has any questions regarding sex offenders living in their neighborhood, they can contact their neighborhood officer or the Oregon State Police Sex Offender Registration Unit at 503-378-3720,” Bush said.
